CARRERA presents the new TECHNICAL CYCLING HELMETS collection for 2010. This complete and innovative product line has been designed and made specifically for cyclists to ensure maximum comfort and total safety during both competitions and leisure time.  Carrera is proud to be the helmet sponsor for professional cycling team ~ Team Ceramica-Flaminia.

The new CARRERA cycling helmets are the result of careful research in the most innovative materials and the most advanced construction technologies in order to allow the athlete to concentrate on performance in full safety and comfort.

The new helmets feature an outer shell in polycarbonate, a particularly lightweight, aerodynamic and resistant material. It features a protective interior lining made from expandable polystyrene, a lightweight impact absorbing fabric that will protect the cyclist.

All CARRERA helmets are constructed using “in-moulding” technology, an innovative construction system whereby the polystyrene interior is moulded to the polyethylene exterior. This allows the polystyrene thickness to be reduced creating more vents without compromising the impact-absorbing capabilities. The perfect adhesion between the two shells enhances helmet stability and also durability.

In addition, the helmet interiors are lined with a “DRY WAVE” fabric, a material that absorbs humidity and assures perfect transpiration as well as “COMFORT MESH”, a fibre that guarantees high comfort.

CARRERA research has brought forth an exclusive helmet adjustment system. These top-of-the-range technical helmets feature an innovative manual adjustment system which allows widening, tightening, raising or lowering of the helmet to always ensure perfect fit for the rider.

The CARRERA helmets feature vents positioned over the entire surface, which allow fresh air to flow in and hot air to flow out. The shape, position and size of the vents have been carefully studied for each model to assure air passage at low speeds and maximum comfort at high speeds.

Finally, the chin strap is of fundamental importance for safety. In order to perfectly perform its protective function, the straps of the CARRERA technical cycling helmets are firmly secured to the helmet. For the top-of-the-range helmets CARRERA uses the innovative “in-moulding” technology to perfectly integrate the strap in the helmet and allow the rider to adjust the strap length for an exact fit.
